Volunteers and stall holders were ready at the Victory Hall in Dalston on Saturday 11 November 2017 for the Headway North Cumbria Christmas Fair. Promptly at 10 o’clock the first customers arrived. Throughout the morning there was a steady flow of people keen to sample the home-made mince pies, scones and biscuits with a hot drink and to shop from the stalls, including craft items made by Headway members.
There was a wonderful atmosphere the whole morning, a constant buzz of conversation, lots of laughter, and most importantly for Headway members – complete acceptance. This is one of the aims of every Headway branch.
The Fair raised £840 plus 3 large donations were made of £316 making a final total of £1,156. Many thanks to all who volunteered, attended and supported the Headway North Cumbria Christmas Fair.
