Keswick Lions Support Headway North Cumbria

Lions Club International is the world’s largest service club organization with 46,000 clubs and 1.35 million members worldwide.  Their members do whatever is needed to help their local communities – with children who need eyeglasses, with seniors who don’t have enough to eat and with people they may never meet.

Keswick Lions are a group of local volunteers who have been supporting worthy causes and community events for over 25 years.  They provide support to national and international causes and respond to emergencies however and whenever they can.  They give generously to local charities and worthy causes, respond to immediate needs (e.g. the floods), support community events and much, much more.

Keswick Lions have recently made a donation of £ 1,000 to support the branch’s upcoming activities.  This extremely generous grant will be used to offset the cost associated with members attending activities, thereby making them accessible to the maximum number of people.  This money will be specifically utilised to support two upcoming events which will be conducted in the Keswick area – a trip to The Lingholm Kitchen and Alpacaly Ever After on 2 July 2018 and a water sports event at Platty+ on 11 August 2018.  Details of both events can be found on our events page.

The members of Headway North Cumbria are extremely grateful to the Keswick Lions for this their support and this particularly generous donation.
