On Monday 1 July 2024 we welcomed back Travelling Light to the Day Centre.
Steve, Evie and Maddie performed a great set of music from a repertoire comprising many popular music styles designed to appeal to a variety of musical tastes. They played a fabulous mix of up tempo and slow songs made famous by a variety of artists such as Ricky Nelson, Lindisfarne, The Seekers, Johnny Cash, The Beatles and Elvis Presley amongst many others.
Travelling Light‘s aim is to be entertaining which they most certainly were with many of our members singing, clapping and waving along with the music. Some took to the dancefloor – with some on their feet for the entire set! 
Amongst the many songs performed were Hello Mary Lou, Meet Me on the Corner, Forty Shades of Green, Johnny B. Goode, Dance the Night Away, Puttin’ on the Style, All About You and the ever popular Sweet Caroline. Travelling Light finished their set with three Elvis songs – The Wonder of You, Burning Love and Good Luck Charm and the song, originally recorded by Dion and the Belmonts, – A Teenager in Love.
A big thank you to Steve, Evie and Maddie for, once again giving up their time and entertaining us so well. We look forward to 2 December 2024 when Travelling Light will return to perform a seasonal concert for us.
