On Monday 2 December 2024 we were delighted to welcome back the duo Travelling Light to the Day Centre. Steve and Evie, once again, performed an excellent set of music from a diverse repertoire of songs that are very popular of our members
During the first part of their performance they played a fabulous mix of up tempo and slow songs made famous by a wide range of of artists such as George Formby, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Buddy Holly, McFly and Adele, amongst many others. They opened with Octopus’ s Garden and followed with a mix of songs that included Good Luck Charm, Leaning on a Lamppost, a medley of Beach Boys songs, and It Doesn’t Matter Anymore. Travelling Light finished their first set with Your Cheatin’ Heart.
A second set was more festive in style with many Christmas favourites to enjoy including, amongst others, Merry Christmas Everyone, Frosty the Snowman, Blue Christmas. Mele Kalikimaka (The Hawaiian Christmas Song), Feliz Navidad and Mary’s Boy Child. Travelling Light finished their concert by wishing our members all the best for the festive season with a great performance of White Christmas.
A huge thank you to Steve and Evie for, once more, giving up their time and entertaining us so well.
