On Monday 24 February 2025 members from Headway North Cumbria went Ten Pin Bowling at Hollywood Bowl, Carlisle. This was our first of two planned bowling sessions for this year.
We took over three lanes with 16 participants spread between them in groups of five or six. Participants had the opportunity to play two games of 10 frames over two hours.
As usual everyone entered in to the spirit of the occasion and, regardless of whether they were experienced bowlers or complete novices, had great fun! And there was the occasional victory celebration when someone performed particularly well …
Unfortunately some of our bowlers did not quite get to the end of their second frame – a power cut at the bowling centre caused the session to come to a slightly early finish before the last few balls were bowled. Not to worry though, everyone had a good time despite this.
