"At AMF Bowling we have a passion for bringing families and friends together for affordable fun and healthy competition, giving everyone who visits our centres that feel-good factor." On Monday 3 February 2020 we will be ten pin bowling at AMF Bowling in Carlisle. We will meet at 12:45 with the first ball down the lane at 13:00. Cost to participate will be £2 a head and attendees will have the opportunity to bowl two games of 10 frames. The Day Centre will be open for those that do.....

Look Ahead in the North 2020
Look Ahead in the North is an annual residential weekend run by Headway at The Calvert Trust, Kielder Forest. The 2020 event will be held over the period 20-22 March 2020. The programme for the weekend has yet to be published but, in line with previous years, is likely to run from 16:00 on Friday 20 March 2020 until 13:00 on Sunday 22 March 2020. Action for Brain Injury Week 2020
Headway has announced that the date for 2020’s ABI Week has been set as 11-17 May 2020. Hats for Headway Day will take place on Friday 15 May but will be celebrated at Headway North Cumbria during its Day Centre Session on Monday 11 May 2020. The theme for the week is memory loss as this is a broad subject that offers a lot of scope to explore. The current working title for the week is: Memory Loss – A campaign to remember.

Watchtree Nature Reserve and Watchtree Wheelers
Watchtree Nature Reserve is a 205 acre haven for wildlife and people. Featuring flower rich meadows, old and new woodland, miles of hedgerow and wetland habitats this a place for everyone. Wildlife is perfectly at home here and we have abundant Brown Hares, the European protected Great crested Newt, numerous breeding birds, interesting moths, stunning butterflies, secretive bats and incredible dragonflies. Platty+
Platty+ is a small friendly family run water sports centre based on the shores of Derwentwater experienced in dealing with individuals and groups, children and adults (including those with special needs), families with young children, corporate groups and school parties. On Saturday 25 July 2020 Headway North Cumbria will participate in water sports in the Lake District. As in previous years we hope to be joined by friends from Headway Tyneside and Headway South Cumbria. Attendees will be offered a two hour programme in which they will be given the opportunity to go on.....

The Rum Story – Whitehaven
The Rum Story is set in the original shop, courtyards, cellars and bonded warehouses of the Jefferson family business, in Whitehaven. It tells the story of the UK rum trade, which originally centered on the port of Whitehaven. The journey starts in the Caribbean rainforest and graphically depicts the story of rum, bringing to life the slave trade, American prohibition, rum in the Royal Navy, rum in history, the process of rum making and more. Headway North Cumbria will visit the Rum story on Monday 17 August 2020. We will meet there.....
