Headway North Cumbria at Easter

Headway North Cumbria members have been adjusting to life under lockdown and have developed routines to keep themselves busy and stay safe during these challenging times.  We asked our members to tell us what they have been up to over the Easter period.

Arts and Crafts

Arts and crafts have proved to be very popular with a number of our members who have been painting, sewing, knitting as well as a range of other creative activities.

Great British Bake Off

Baking has also proved very popular with a number of our members.  The offering below comes from North of the Border with a recommendation that they should be eaten with butter and jam.

…. and this chocolate cake came with its own Easter surprise  ….

Up for a Challenge ?

Online quizzes and puzzles have proved popular and one member has taken on the challenge of completing a 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle.

Another member has spent her time learning Italian.  Bravissima!

Getting Out

Many of our members are taking advantage of the good weather and getting out to do the daily exercise permissible under the current regulations.  Many are walking, others are cycling and some are taking the opportunity to work in their gardens.

Keeping in Touch

Our members have also tried to keep in touch with each other and we recently ran a Zoom meeting which allowed a number of our members to see and talk to each other using their mobile phones, tablets or computers.  This was a great success and something that we intend to do on a regular basis.

Further photos of the activities that our members have been doing can be found in the gallery in the Photo Album entitled Headway North Cumbria at Easter.  The gallery can also be viewed below:
