On Monday 27 November 2023 we welcomed back the duo Travelling Light to the Day Centre. Steve and Evie performed an excellent set of music from a repertoire of songs that are very popular of our members
They played a fabulous mix of up tempo and slow songs made famous by a variety of artists such as Neil Diamond, The Eagles, Cliff Richard, George Formby, Lonnie Donegan and The Beatles, amongst many others. Included in the many songs performed were Peaceful Easy Feeling, Chains, When You Walk in the Room, Song Sung Blue and Johnny B. Goode. Travelling Light finished their first set with the ever popular You’ll Never Walk Alone.
Travelling Light‘s aim is to be entertaining which they most certainly were with many of our members singing, clapping or getting up to dance to the music – with some on the dancefloor for almost the entire set.
A second set was more seasonal in nature with many Christmas favourites to enjoy including, amongst others, Merry Christmas Everyone, Frosty the Snowman, Santa Claus is Coming to Town and Rocking Around the Christmas Tree. Travelling Light finished their concert by wishing our members all the best for the festive season with a great performance of White Christmas.
A huge thank you to Steve and Evie for, once again, giving up their time and entertaining us so well.
