Finn Takes on a Muddy Challenge to Raise Funds for Headway North Cumbria

posted in: Uncategorised | 0

Finn Graham, son of Headway North Cumbria member, Helen Wilson, is fundraising for the branch.

Finn has decided that he will undertake the 10km Gelt Gladiator course on 8th June 2024.  Finn will undertake the 10km mud run which is also an obstacle course and, to make it more challenging, will do so wearing a 20kg weighted vest and boots.  After each obstacle he will also do 10 press-ups to make it even more demanding.  He wants to complete this event in recognition of the tough challenge that his mum faced following her acquired brain injury and, in some cases, still faces today.

Within two days of announcing his intention to undertake this challenge Finn had already raised over £1,000 of the £2,000 target that he has set himself.

A collection box will also be available at the Day Centre for anyone that would like to make a cash donation.

Headway North Cumbria wishes Finn all the very best for his venture and thanks him, and his supporters, for their contributions to the branch.
